BO'NAFIDE Communications Inc. (BCI), founded in 1988, is a full services strategic planning, corporate communications consulting services and sports marketing firm offering special expertise in the automotive and transportation industries, as well as event co-ordination, media and public relations, newsletters, preparation of feature articles, conference planning and sponsorship negotiations.
Bruce O'Neill, President

Bruce O'Neill, president of BCI, has 30 years of experience in the communications industry to ensure clients receive first-class service in all aspects of their media relations and marketing objectives. Bruce is a former writer and assistant sports editor with The Toronto Sun and has worked for one of Canada's largest public relations/sports marketing agencies.

BO'NAFIDE has handled the national public relations campaigns for Nissan Canada, Saab, Jaguar and Peugeot and has also successfully handled major projects for Toyota Canada and General Motors of Canada.

In his capacity as a professional public relations/sports marketing consultant, Bruce has been involved with most of Canada's top sporting events, e.g., Canada Cup hockey, the Canadian Open Golf Championship, the top ladies golf tournament, two national motorsport series and, more recently, snowmobile drag racing on asphalt as executive director and co-founder of CD RASE.
In April, 1997 the new owners of Mosport, Canada's top motorsport facility, called upon BO'NAFIDE Communications to executive a media relations program relating not only to the transfer of ownership, but also the first major event under the new management structure. The success of that endeavor resulted in BCI being contracted to provide support to Professional Sports Car Racing at its major events in the United States during the 1998 season.
Bruce O'Neill devotes a great deal of time to community service in a variety of areas. He is a member of the United Way of Peel Region Board of Directors and a former member of the Mississauga Board of Trade's Executive, where he served as vice-president, membership for two years. Bruce is a member of the Communications, President's Dinner and Golf Day committees. He received the 1998 Chairman's Award for his volunteer work with the Mississauga Board of Trade.

Bruce is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Mississauga Sports Council and chairs the annual sports awards dinner. He is also a five-time chairman of the Conn Smythe Sports Celebrities Dinner, the major fund-raiser for The Easter Seals Society.
